Noah's 13th birthday...

July 7th, (7/7) is of course Noah's birthday. This year, Noah would be an official teenager. Magical #13! How truly awesome to hit the big one three, this year!!!!! July 5th and 6th we were off staying in a hotel towards the opposite part of Chiba... from where we live. We got back to our home July 6th around 5pm-ish. I made a quick curry that night for all 4 of us. Then the next day...July 7th! We all woke up excited! And ready to celebrate our youngest kiddos birthday. The first b-day that will kick start.... his teen years!!! I made pancakes and bacon for us all, July 7th morning around 7:30am. And after that... we sort of just relaxed the rest of the day. We did zip ourselves to Inzai to do the weekly shopping around 9:30am. But we zipped back home and just enjoyed the quiet of the day. Around dinner time. We hopped in my car and we went wherever Noah wanted to eat for his birthday dinner. Did he want yakiniku? Anything for the birthday person in our household! Noah wanted Jolly Pasta! And so okay...done and done. Around 5pm-ish we drove to our nearest Jolly Pasta. Our nearest one is in Ibaraki prefecture and so we zipped ourselves there. We each ordered the combo that comes with a personal size pizza and pasta and drink bar. We talked *so* much. We laughed so hard! We truly had the best time together that night. 

We celebrated Noah. Because it was his special day. It was so super nice. Simple. Just the 4 of us. Simple and low key...which is exactly how we celebrate every birthday in our household. The food is always top notch here. The servers/wait staff is so incredibly friendly and welcoming. 

We did order Noah's birthday cake from that fabulous place in Nagano that makes all the ice cream flavors from scratch. We had it made especially for Noah and had it delivered before we left on our over night stay. Noah picked Nutella flavored chocolate icecream for one layer and the other flavor that Noah picked was banana and it's not that fake banana flavor at all... it's from real bananas. And so delicious. And of course it has that layer of spongecake at the bottom. We put the candles on. We sang so loud and genki! It was fun! 

Two weeks beforehand we asked Noah what he wanted for his birthday... Noah asked for a bluetooth speaker for his bedroom. He also asked for a popsocket. They're super popular in America. Every kid has them at Noah's middle school in the U.S. 

Noah picked out the bluetooth speaker that he wanted that had the highest reviews. He also received a battery pack for his cell phone too. It's super cool and Branden has one too from the year before. Noah got the newer model. It's just because they don't sell B's model anymore. Noah also received a new "unbreakable" (resistant to breaks) cord for his cell. He also did get a brand new cell phone this year too. The same model Bran has and it's a super good quality cell.

Noah picked the Japan styled pop socket, so that he can think about Japan, every time he uses his phone. Aww. : ) He also received a 5000 yen Google Play card from us too. So new cell. Which was an early birthday gift in June. An overnight stay. The speaker he wanted and the battery pack, popsocket. Plus a cake and out to dinner. Not too shabby. : ) 

Plus my dad, sent Noah a birthday card with money in it to our townhouse in America. So that was waiting for Noah when we got back to the U.S. Grandpa always picks the cutest cards! : )

And with US $200 with birthday money inside too. All in all, I'd say Noah made out like a bandit for his birthday this year. Noah is so loved, by all of us!!! We love you Noah! Happy 13th birthday! To the moon and back kiddo...to the moon and back!!! : )
