Catching up! : )

Well, well, well, it seems Fall is indeed here to stay. And some days it nearly seems down right winter-ish! : ) A few days the sun comes out and shines, but it still feels like Fall to me. Snapped this pic, when Noah was out in the backyard playing the other day. The boys have been going outside and playing a ton still. Though somedays it's been even too cold to even warrant a good ol' play ha ha ha! : ) Branden has also been still bike riding with his friends about 3 times a week still. He told me they went climbing trees and rolling in leaves last week! Ha ha ha! And he said he also enjoyed riding his bike through the leaves because the leaves made a crunch sound! :D Kids, I sure do love my kids! And have been enjoying watching them just be kids!

Last week, I indeed went bowling with my girlfriends! Oh man, we had a blast! We met up at 10 am on Wednesday morning, we were the first customers of the day at the bowling alley! We played 2 games! Noriko-san, and Rieko-san were both pretty good bowlers! And very fun to bowl with! If you see the screen, Noriko-san went first, I wanted to go last, lol, but was chosen to go second. And Rieko-san went last but not least. My first game I got like an 85 and my last game I got like a 91. Very normal to average scores. I am not the best bowler on the earth that is really for sure! :D But yet I am not the world's worst bowler either. However, I do like bowling a whole lot! : ) Meanwhile Rieko-san was clearly off the charts! She was such a good bowler. It was like WOW! Her first score was 145 and her 2nd game was like 165 or something like that. If your score was higher then a 120 point game you could get a free prize! Well, that clearly *wasn't* happening with me, har har har! : ) But Rieko-san won this Christmas mug cup! You can see the bowling balls in the background along with this cheesy pink and blue table. A total bowling alley picture for sure! Ha ha ha. After bowling, we went to lunch! We went to a pasta and dessert restaurant, only ladies ate here, not one single guy in here. It was a really good place and the desserts were so delicious. We all had a lunch set. It came with soup and salad, pasta and drink for 1150 yen. And for an extra 300 yen, you could pick a dessert. Of course, we just had to order the dessert! *wink wink* Which the 3 of us did, lol. We all had dessert, I chose a rare cheesecake with blueberry topping, oh it was so good, so rich and creamy, it was a boderline sin, to eat something that truly delicious. After lunch they went to the yochien to pick up both of their own younger daughters. And I meanwhile went home and then went to pick up B from elementary school. I am glad, I do get away with my girlfriends once a month without kids. This gives me a chance to let my hair down, so to speak and unwind. And have girl chat. Besides the twice a week chit chats I do get at the swim school anyway with kids in tow, is always nice too though. Yup, lonely....I am definitely not! Ha ha ha. Good to have good friends! : ) We are now thinking next time we should go to karaoke. :D

Last week the pigs indeed flew yet again! And they brought us our order! They sure do have speedy shipping, ordered on Sunday got it on Thursday. It's always only been a 4-5 day wait. Have always had the best time ordering from them! I also enjoy the easy ordering in English. Phew. : )
Nothing all too fantastic, but the basics. No frills here : ) Snack stuff, like chips for chips and dip. popcorn to last the winter and a big honkin' jar of mixed nuts. Better then eating sugary snacks, I'd say. : ) What else....Black olives for Thanksgiving and the other is for Christmas. Bacon, 2 packs of that. We do love our bacon around here. A huge amount of sliced processed cheese, this makes some mighty fine grilled cheese sandwiches or grilled ham and cheese too! And also great for omelets. What else.....lean ground beef is for hamburg and other stuff. Tortillas and those delicious yeasty dinner rolls. Basic, basic, basic told ya....nothing exciting in there, lol. Just being really conservative with the essentials. : )

On Saturday the FBC order arrived. Ordered the same day we ordered the Flying pig (Sunday) and only 15 minute difference when we ordered online, and we got it Saturday. A bit slower to ship stuff then Flying Pig we think, but not too outrageous or anything, normal shipping still. Could be that Flying Pig is just superly fast and that's why we take notice. In any case am happy to have gotten our FBC order, because we do love FBC too and love their English ordering too, easy for me. : )
Turkey roasting pan, and while I may be conservative all year long and buy Japanese potato chips all the time and do love them. For Thanksgiving, I do buy Ruffles, so we can use them for our dip! Yumm! I have been staring at said chips since Saturday, the restraint I have to not open the bag, ahhhh! I have been trying so hard, ha ha ha!
And I could quite possibly be the only person who loves canned peas, well actually not really or they wouldn't carry them. So, others must secretly love them too. Anyway, I love fresh veggie for everything. But for peas, not sure why, even I do not know the answer, but I love a good canned pea. LOL. I had to order myself 3 cans. And the huge bag of red cheddar is for the enchiladas I will be making soon and so is the 24 pack of corn tortillas as well. American mustard gearing up for my turkey sandwiches I think, since I do one side mayo and one side mustard, ha ha ha. And the small box of mini candy canes. : ) The tiniest smallest order, sniff, sniff, lol. But am really happy with what we got!!! : )

Saturday evening Branden helped me prepare dinner. He chopped veggies and I watched cautiously close but honestly his chopping is getting really good. : )

A whole lot of veggies here. : ) We made yakisoba on Saturday night. : )
Snapped the pic and then a few more stirs and mixes and it was done.

On Sunday, we went to the Subaru dealership in Narita. Here is a pic of Noboru taking a test drive.
A very cute car, cushy thick seats and some handles in the back, lol. : )
The interior looks good, And why was I in the back seat? No car seats in the test drive car and I stood in the back seat with Noah.

After our test drive and 2 hour stay at the car dealership, we went to lunch at Saizeriya. A really cheap and good Italian restaurant chain in Japan.

On Sunday night I made niku jaga. Niku jaga basically means meat and potatoes. Most people I have ever heard of, makes theirs with beef. Even me, when I think of niku jaga I think of beef and potatoes. However I make ours with pork. : )

A bit of sesame oil in the frying pan and I started to fry up the sliced onion in the pan. The sesame oil really gives it a great flavor. I learned and watched my MIL make it, and then omitted the stuff I didn't like. And a very tweaked version.
Really nice onions stir fried and now a bit soft.

Just like with regular niku jaga where you need to find the thinnest beef possible. I also find the thinnest pork possible and cut off any funky bits. Like this ring of fat, I cut off every piece. Left with a very lean thin piece of pork.

Lots of lean pork.

I stir fry my pork in the remaining bit of sesame oil. And though with beef, all you gotta do is make sure the pink has gone from the beef before you boil. For the pork I make sure the pork is completely cooked before I add the water. 1TBS mirin, 1TBS sugar.

1/4 cup soy sauce. And I boiled on a semi high heat before lowering the heat to a medium heat. If I was using beef it might be done in say 20 minutes. But again with pork, I cook longer to make sure it's thoroughly done. I usually cook mine for a good 40 minutes on a medium heat. Meaning as soon as it has a strong boil I drop it down to a medium to high heat. Lid covered the whole time except when I check on it. I do not add any dashi which contains fish broth of some sort. I am really not a seafood lover at all, sorry I just am not. Sure I like shrimp and lobster :D But fish sauce and the likes, I don't use. So, I make my niku jaga without any dashi at all. Again though, if you have 1 million women in Japan, you can honestly end up with 1 million different recipes for niku jaga. Ha ha ha. So, yeah...we do have a very basic niku jaga thing going on at our house. No fish based, just truly meat and potatoes, with soy sauce, sugar and mirin and sesame oil add to the flavor. Now my MIL she adds the sesame oil and she uses the dashi though and she also uses beef. : ) So she might not care for my basic meat and potatoes recipe. But that is okay, we do around here. : )It's one of Noboru's favorite winter time dishes, besides the nabes of course. : )

And everyone I know uses one veggie or maybe two to their niku jaga. We always add fresh green beans to ours.
And after the green beans were cooked and right before dinner time! : ) The smell in the house? Wonderful. Oh the reason I don't cube my potatoes, is because with the double cooking time since I use pork, my potatoes would be mush if I diced them. So yeah there is logic in why I don't dice them up! There's a good reason. : )
A nice simple very basic meat and potatoes meal! The meat was honestly fall apart tender because the meat is so thin to begin with, the onions were so soft the potatoes were yummy. The broth of this is amazing. We could eat this at our house every other week. We probably will... with the chilly Fall weather and winter approaching. : )

We have the cars we want narrowed down to 2. With all the research Noboru's done on it. I take my hat off to him for that, btw (by the way). We have it narrowed down to the, Daihatsu Mira, which was given the award for the car of the year, Japan in 2007. And the other choice is the Subaru Stella. Noboru is leaning towards the Stella. That is the car we went and test drove on Sunday. This car is very safe. As you can see in this brochure. This car is one of the safest cars around. See the test dummy kids on the left in the pic? It does have some of the highest ratings. And Noboru likes the fact that it is so safe.

See the skeleton of the car, for lack of better word here for the Stella? It basically has an enforced roll cage type frame on the top of the car and everything so if we ever had a roll over, we would indeed be safe. God forbid we never encounter anything like that though.
Not only does it have front air bags it also has side air bags. And the gas mileage on the Stella, is apparantly fantastic! Anyway that is where we are at... up until this point so far! We are somewhere between deciding on the Subaru Stella or on the Daihatsu Mira. I like the Mira and also the Stella and would be happy with either. But Noboru likes the Stella so far out of all that he has researched. Hmm. More study and talks needed before we decide. But at least we have it narrowed down to 2 cars so far at least! : ) So at least some progress has been made. : ) Also, Noboru wants a yellow plate car, however he wants our yellow plate car to have a CVT transmission (don't ask me, ha ha ha). Daihatsu offers a CVT transmission but only for the most expensive model, the X model, which is what Noboru would have to buy since he is so stuck on the CVT transmission thing. Meanwhile for Subaru, the CVT transmission in standard in all their cars! So that is the good thing about Subaru since we want a yellow plate car and he still wants the CVT thing. One more thing....most yellow plate cars are only 3 cylinder like the Mira, but the Stella is a 4 cylinder (again don't ask me, it's what Noboru has been looking into not me : ). Yet another reason to sway us more towards the Stella, he says. Anyway no clear cut decisions about the car as of yet, but we are getting closer. Only thing is and this is sorta funny but bare with me....I can't help but think of the line Marlon Brando gave when he said......Stella!!!!!! It just keeps popping up in my mind. If I did get that car...and someone asked "what kind of car do you drive Gina." I would probably turn around and say in my best Brando impersonation...I drive a ..."Stella!!!!" LOL! Ahhh anyway still deciding but that is sorta funny. : )
Also, Branden came home with a letter from the school last week. He apparantly didn't do so well on the eye exam at school. He didn't flat out fail. Yet his test results gave the one giving the exam reason enough to flag Branden! So, while there is no definite yes or no for right now. There is a possibility he might need glasses, you guys. : ( So, anyway, I will be taking Branden to an actual eye doctor some time this week to get checked. Not just at the glasses shop, is what I mean. Because I wanna be for sure either way. Anyway, please have a lovely week you guys!!! : )

Your niku jaga looked so delicious, Thanks for the instructions, I will be following your method preparing my own.Your food look so yummy. Sounds like Branden may need glasses, I hated mine when I was small. ha ha, Love dad

Ohhh your upcoming thanksgiving feast sounds good!! I'm cheating this year and eating out at a special thanksgiving restaraunt in Osaka!

Me and R have been looking at yellow plate Subaru's for our car. We'll probably get a 2-3 year old used one!

Glad you had a fun time bowling with friends, its always so much fun to go out!

That's funny, we make our niku jyaga with pork too!!

I am rotfl because as soon as you mentioned that a Stella might be the car for you, I was yelling (in my head) "STELLA"! Then you go ahead and write the same thing. Lol. You have to get the STELLA!

Don`t worry too much about the flag on Brandon. They flag soooo many kids. I think the eye doctor gets business that way (not to be cynical or anything but....).

Your "Mick Jagger" looks fantastic. I never thought to make it with pork.

Thank you dad! : ) Yes Noah had a growth spurt, he is a bit taller now, I notice that too. : )

And my favorite climbing tree was in the front yard dad. It was the tree closest to Julie next door's house but it was our tree in our yard, sadly we cut it down when I was in high school. That was my best climbing tree. :D

Yay, hi Sara!!!! : )

Ohhh, I think a restaurant for thanksgiving sounds very delicious too. And this way, you can take a load off and not have to cook! A total double bonus!!! : )

Right on, you and R have been thinking of the Subaru's, they are fantastic cars, huh! : ) The Stella, the R2, all of them! If you get one, I am sure you will love it. Heck, if I get one, I am sure I will love it, ha ha ha. *I hope we both get one.*
: ) And they all have that CVT thingie. Must be a man thing, ha ha ha, not really caring about that CVT thing though myself. :D Excellent choice though you guys! And I don't mind a nice used car at all. Japan has fantastic used cars. Way better then the used cars we can find in the US. My husband will probably decide that factor. I think my biggest choice will be the color of the car? LOL. And even that...I am really flexible. : )

Have a lovely weekend Sara it is supposed to get REALLY cold this week and weekend. Brrrr! :D

OMG, Nay really? You make your niku jaga with pork?! Right on lady! It is pretty good stuff huh?
See, and I was a bit embaressed to say so at first. And now because of your awesome comment I am glad I mentioned it. Thanks Nay! : )

LOL, see Tigermama??? Out of all the people you got my STELLA thing! That is so awesome!!!!

Thank you for what you said about the don't be worried about Branden and the eye thing. I almost hope they just wanna make some money for the exam. Ha ha ha, I have been stressing about this a bit. Sigh. I hope the test comes out okay, but I will love him to pieces either way.: ) I think I am heading to the docs tomorrow around 6pm. Hmm, hope they are open around that time. : D

Hi Ms Gina,
The picture of Noah outside is cute. I like his little hat. Hehe. :) It's so cold here! When I woke up this morning at 7:40am it was thirty-one degree's (it's nicer now though closer to 2pm). I almost took my gloves but left them at home sadly. :( Thankfully I didn't park too far away from the building for class heh heh. Sadly I got a little cold sometime this weekend. :(

Going bowling sure sounds fun! Cute about the prize. I'm surprised it wasn't free food or something like that. The restaurant you went to sounds nice.

Tehe about the "Flying pig." I wonder if the people got the name from that saying "when pigs fly..." LOL. That's always what I think of.

That's cute Branden is helping you cook now. Hehe! You should check out cooks.com They have some fun dessert recipes that would be fun to make with kids his age.

The car looks interesting and I'm glad it's so safe. How are cars there with technology stuff? Some vans I've seen here (the newer ones) have DVD players for the kids to watch movies. How is it with driving Japanese cars being on the other side than the American cars? I wonder if I would end up having a crash just because of that lol.

That niku jaga looks pretty good. Yum! Around here we like to have beef stew and chili. Yummy warm food. I'll have to ask my mother to make it sometime this week. Thank you for sharing the recipe! :D

Well I hope your car hunt goes well and I'm glad you've all finally close to getting one. :) Best of luck with that and with Branden's eye exam. Good idea to go to a professional just to make sure. I found out I needed glasses when I went for my eye test for my driving permit. I couldn't read one number (I get six's and eight's confused) and had to go get an exam and found out I needed glasses to read and drive (and I'm restricted with that). I at first was iffy on the idea but now I like my glasses. I can read okay without them it's just my left eye is five percent weaker than my right eye and so my right eye is left doing all the hard work so my glasses help with that. Hope that goes well with Branden. :) They have some totally kawaii glasses now for people of all ages. Stay warm!

Good morning Emily. It dropped to 31 degrees, gee that is cold.

I will go and check out Cooks.com. You know what : ), all last week, I spent any free time I had on Martha Stewart's site, just cruising her recipes. : D I love looking at all the recipes and all the pictures. I think, most of my time these days has been spent looking at cooking websites like Martha's and others. Or looking at Amazon for cook books. Ha ha ha. But only when I have free time though. I will definitely check out cook.com. You have some good food links.

About the cars. Yeah the technology for the cars is pretty good. Like what you said about DVD players and stuff. We have a Mazda MPV (a mini van) and it has a DVD player in the backseat for the boys. They can watch TV or they can watch DVD's. We have the Wizard of Oz, Toy Story, Home Alone, The Pink Panther, Spongebob and all sorts of DVD's back there, they always watch something good on their way to school or wherever. Yes the technology part I like. And we have a TV and navigation system up front for us too, so I can watch movies but I usually won't while driving. LOL. And it also has a back up mini TV camera to show up on the screen so it shows how my parking is going. That stuff is really cool. I love my MPV, it's good for long drives and very comfy. We just need a smaller car for the daily grind type stuff, like zipping between school to school with. : D We researched the MPV a lot too before we made that purchase.

Now the driving on the opposite side of the road thing. That really got to me first. : ( . For many of us American's living here., it was an adjustment. Driving (in my mind) on the wrong side of the road and then of course the blinker/turn signal and the windshield wipes are switched here in Japan, on the opposite side of how we use them in the US. So when I would go to turn my signal on to turn left for example, I would by accident turn my windshield wipers on. Wipers would be going all crazy wiping a dry window, lol! Meanwhile I would be turning left, trying to turn on the *real* signal and trying to turn of those blasted wipers, lol. Needless to say, I turned my wiper blades on a lot at first! Ha ha ha. Then I got used to it. And it became second nature. And now, I have the opposite problem.... when I go to the US for a visit or to Guam and I drive. Now I drive like how I do in Japan and basically do things in reverse. I flip on my wiper blades when I wanna turn on my blinkers and the whole story but in the US. However I never drive on the opposite side of the road in either country, at least I am not that bad. ha ha ha.

Also the shapes of cars are a bit different in Japan huh? First time I ever came here, I was like..."oh look honey check out that CRAZY looking car" Ha ha ha. After about saying that a 100 times, he was like, "just stop please", lol. I couldn't help it they just looked so different.

You like beef stew and chili? I love that stuff too! You know the Japanese make a really good beef stew. The base flavor comes in a box just like the curry does. And I love chili. When your family makes the chili do they also make cornbread? Oh man, now you got me craving chili! By the way...A week later and I am still thinking of your family's peanut butter fudge. Hmm, maybe I should go check Martha and see if she has a recipe for that. : D

About the glasses. I agree totally with you. And you know something funny. I don't even mind so much if he has to wear them... though of course I would hope he doesn't though, but you know what I mean : ). You know, my dad has always worn glasses then he had lasik and now wears reading glasses. : ) My mom started wearing glasses when she hit 50 and is now like 59 years old and still uses them. My fil and mil (mother in law) they both have really bad eye sight and really superly need them.: ( In fact the only person in Noboru's whole family who doesn't need glasses is Noboru. Isn't that weird? He is the only oddball with perfect 20/20 vision. .Also, I wear glasses to drive and to read just like you, too Emily. : D And yes they do have many cool frames and stuff. Sigh. I think the thing that got me upset about this whole thing. Is my husband sort of mentioned to me that his mom, my mil "is going to blame on us" if Branden ends up wearing glasses. To me, that just rubbed me the wrong way. I wondered why would she blame us? He was/is certain she will. I just didn't get that at all and then all those feelings resurfaced yet again. : ( Funny, I told my family about B maybe needing glasses and they were all really supportive and said, "not to worry" either way he will be okay. It was reassuring. Then I heard totally the opposite.... that she is going to blame on us, yada yada. And that sorta made things really weird for me. Ahhh, oh well, whatever happens happens. We will love our little Branden now matter what. : )

PS Emily...

Ha ha ha, I remember that saying too. "When pigs fly!!!" Meaning, well that'll never happen! Ha ha ha. Unlikely, highly doubtful! : )
You know what I mean. : )

When I saw the name of the company in Japan....the flying pig. That name made me smile and I thought of that saying too at first. I agree with you too, I think they named it because of that too. : )

Hi Ms Gina,
Haha yeah I like looking at recipes too. So yummy. I've also been looking at this site where it's a live video feed of some adorable Shiba Inu puppies. You can see it here- http://www.ustream.tv/channel/shiba-inu-puppy-cam They are so cute! If I ever get another dog I want a Shiba Inu. They seem like great dogs too. I've been watching them all weekend lol.

Nice about the camera thing. I think some of the newer cars have that here. I saw some car (I forgot by whom) that has it to where you can sync your IPod to it. :D I would like that instead of keeping all my CD's in the little box. My family still has our 92 van lol. I have a 2002 car. :) It's pretty nice. I'm a short girl so I'd like the little camera thingie. :)

Sounds confusing about driving there. Thankfully you never had any wrecks because of that.

Yes I love home made stew and chili. So yummy. Later this week we're having potato soup too. I also LOVE chicken noodle soup. My favorite! My mother makes good chicken noodle soup. :) Yes we make corn bread. Usually it's a small pan. I can't have chili without cornbread. It just doesn't taste the same. Know what I mean? I love the cornbread with Mexican corn. Mmm! Hehe with the fudge. It's good. My grandmother always makes it at Thanksgiving and Christmas. She makes chocolate too but the peanut-butter is the best! Cooks.com I think has recipes of peanut-butter fudge. My grandmother also makes this great chocolate pie. I can't remember now what it's fully called so I'll have to ask my mother about it later. It's always good too! I'm now so ready for Thanksgiving haha. :)

My dad is the same as yours. He used to have to always wear glasses and he would be totally blind if he didn't have his glasses. LOL when we would go to the beach some summers he'd always lose glasses in the water and try looking for them thinking he could find them. He had a strap on one pair once and did a tube thing with it attached to a boat and lost his glasses then too. :( He had caterac (sp?) surgery on his eyes and now has them to read. I'm not sure though if he has to have glasses to drive or not. I'm usually not with him when he drives since I have my own car and all. Even if I didn't have to wear glasses while driving I still would because I would feel better about reading signs and stuff. Perhaps Branden would just have to have glasses to read and when he plays and stuff he doesn't have to worry about them. :) That's odd how Mr Noboru ended up not needing glasses. Hmm. Maybe he got good eye sight from another family member. It's like how I have brownish-blonde hair but my parents both have dark brown hair and my aunts (dad's sisters) both have blond hair. That's sad there is blame going around. It's not like his education or personality or anything like that is going to change. He's just going to wear glasses. I wouldn't be surprised if they're just reading glasses. I think as long as Branden knows it's okay to have glasses if it helps him be a better person than it's not bad and people in his immediate life won't change their opinion of him. When I was a little kid I was kinda blah about glasses too but now that I'm older I know better and don't mind glasses. :)

Tehe about "Pigs Fly." ;)
It's almost time for a reality show I watch (on VH1 called "Scream Queens" about girls who are actresses and want to be in the next "SAW" movie). We're having home made spaghetti with cheese biscuits (like you get at Red Lobster) and I made some meatballs. :D I hope you had a good weekend and stay warm! :)

Hi Emily, a 2002 car is pretty new if you ask me! : D

Shiba una's are pretty popular in Japan, they are the ones with the curly tails right? I see them a lot while driving in Japan. In my neighborhood though most people have western breed dogs though, ha ha ha how funny. The guy who lives on the corner has a great big...Beethoven type dog. A, St Bernard dog. And the other people just bought a brand new dog, she's just a puppy still, she's a blond retreiver. And someone actually has a Scooby Doo type giant dog around here too. : ) My neighbor next door has 2 Japanese doggies though I think. : )

How short are you? I am sorta short too. I am 5 foot 4. : )

OMG, I love potato soup! Hmm, I should make some, you have inspired me now. Ha ha ha. : )

Scream Queens? That show sounds good. And I have a few of the SAW dvd's here at the house. Gosh that puppet was freaky! LOL.

I used to watch a reality show on VH1, forget ther name, it had washed up actors or models and stuff all living together. Sorta like MTV's the Real world but with ex famous people, ha ha ha. That was a good show. : )

Loved the Osbournes show, and that Kiss guy/Gene Simmons...his family's reality show was good too. And I used to like all those Nanny 911 type shows. Man some of those kids, ha ha ha. Wow! : D

Also watch Punk'd once in a while and Pimp my ride, ha ha ha. How funny! : )

PS Emily....just out of curousity how much is a turkey in the US now a days? I am sorta curious. : )

Hi jijineko!!! Good morning and welcome and thank you for commenting! I hope you make it to Japan one day, I think you might like it! : ) I will totally go check out your blog, I'll do that right now in fact! : )

Gina I am so sorry I have not been able to comment publicly but I have you in my RSS feeds and am always thinking of you = ) , I have not even e-mailed my mother back yet-- = ( (she sent me a second reminder yesterday).

I am going to try and make an effort to at least blog once a week = )

I sort of explained everything on my blog, I kept telling myself, but you know how it is getting ready for guests and going on vacation and trying to do it all plus the biz... and the trade marking blah blah..

You are all set for "Thanks" day!!! Fabulous! I love Niku Jaga, love it, it is my favorite dish especially having it for left overs the sauce seems to thicken from the potatoes.

Stella is practical and cute.. I can see it now "There goes Gina in her Stella" has a lovely ring to it, and with all the safety extras!!!

I'll be on vacation for about six weeks give or take so I wonder if I can comment via e-mail post?

= ) I wanted to rent that movie or buy it "Trouble with Angels" it was a daughter and mother movie and wanted to watch that with Mother on vacation.. I loved that movie.. I wish I knew what it was called in Japanese

Hi Ms Gina,
Yeah 2002 isn't too old hehe. :) It's a nice car. Only thing is you have to press down hard on the gas to get going sometimes like on the highway or something. That can be a pain.

I think the Shiba Inu's have curly tails. Depends on how curly you mean. I was reading on them and they seem like great dogs. They don't take long to train like if they're indoor dogs and they are loyal etc. Neat on the Scooby Doo type dog. Hehe. I just love Scooby. :)

I'm about 5'3. So nice that I'm not that short. :)

Haha yeah with the soup. Yum. I like mine real thick and with some cheese biscuits. :D

Yeah it's a good show. I think if you visit VH1.com you can see episodes up. I'm not sure though if they put the whole episode up or not. It's pretty good because I like horror movies so hehe. One girl on the show is named Lindsay and she used to be a Nickelodeon (sp?) kid star on some tv drama show. I guess she wants to be a more serious actress and thinks horror is a good way to go about that. That puppet does look freaky. I've never seen the movie really except spoofs or something like that people have done. :) I really liked the Osbournes too! Oh Sharon is doing a reality show on VH1 now called "Charm School" where she is taking these girls who are considered "wild" and trying to make them into ladies tone down. Not necessarily proper but just not going crazy haha. There is one girl who is doing all sorts of crazy nonsense on people and she's still on the show. Oy!

As far as Turkey's I'm not sure since I'm not buying it haha. I'll have to ask my mother though if we're still buying a Turkey for my grandmother's. Do you celebrate other American holiday's like July 4th and stuff?

Hi Emily, oh yeah I celebrate all the US holidays. For the fourth we usually have a BBQ and stuff. : )
